GA Leggings: What the GA Logo on Your Activewear Means
You have probably arrived here for one reason: you saw a small GA on the back of a waistband, at the gym, on a friend, or in a photograph, and you wanted to know what it was. It is not a stray marking or a size code. It is a brand mark, and this is the page that explains it.
GA stands for Gymathlete, an activewear brand designed in Stockholm. If you have been searching for GA leggings, these are the leggings you are looking for.

The Short Answer
GA is the monogram of Gymathlete, a Stockholm-based activewear brand. GA leggings are Gymathlete leggings. The mark appears in small print on the back of the waistband, and is used across our womenswear rather than a large printed logo.
What GA Stands For
GA is simply Gymathlete, shortened. We use the monogram rather than the full name on our garments, which is why the two do not always connect immediately: you see GA on the waistband, but the brand you eventually search for is Gymathlete. They are the same thing.
Gymathlete is a Swedish activewear label, designed in our own studio in Stockholm, focused on pieces built to be worn for years rather than a season. Every piece begins as a sketch here and goes through rounds of physical samples before it is sold, which we write about in more detail in how every Gymathlete piece is actually made.
Where to Find the GA Logo on the Garment
On leggings, shorts and flared leggings, the GA monogram sits on the back of the waistband, centred, in a small tonal print. It is deliberately quiet: on black pieces it is close to the fabric colour, so it reads as a detail rather than a statement.
On the crop top and the bra, the mark sits along the underband in the same understated way. If you are holding a garment and looking for it, the back of the waistband or the underband is where to look first.
Which Pieces Carry the GA Logo
The GA monogram is used across our women’s Pulse range. If the piece you have seen carries it, it will be one of these.
| Piece | Where the GA mark sits |
|---|---|
| Pulse Leggings | Back of the waistband |
| Pulse Flared Leggings | Back of the waistband |
| Pulse Shorts (12 cm) and Pulse Shorts (17 cm) | Back of the waistband |
| Pulse Crop Top | Underband |
| Pulse Bra | Underband |
The exception in our womenswear is our sweatshirts, which do not carry the GA monogram. So if you have seen the mark on a piece of activewear, it will be one of the Pulse pieces above.
Why the Logo Is So Small
Using a two-letter mark instead of a name across the leg is a deliberate choice, and it comes from how we think a garment should work. Activewear that shouts is activewear you can only wear in one context. A pair of leggings with a large logo down the thigh is gym clothing and nothing else; the same pair with a small monogram on the waistband is something you can train in, travel in and wear to do nothing in particular.
There is also a simpler reason. If a garment needs a large logo to be worth wearing, the garment is doing very little of the work. We would rather be recognised by the fit of a waistband that stays where you put it, and by fabric that has not gone sheer or lost its shape after a year, than by print. The mark is there for the people who already know.
If you want the detail behind that, our guides on high-waisted leggings that stay up and leggings that do not go sheer when you squat cover exactly what we build for.
The Leggings Behind the Logo
The Pulse Leggings are the piece most people mean when they search for GA leggings: a high, structured waistband that stays put, cut from PulseFlex™, our own dense high-recovery fabric, so they hold their shape and their opacity wear after wear.
Life is full of small discomforts. Your activewear shouldn’t be one of them.
